Why Do We Run Late?
Suppose you have a task that takes time \(T\). You estimate it will take \(T_e\). The problem is: most people underestimate, meaning \(T > T_e\).
Define error: \( E = T – T_e \).
If \(E > 0\), you run late.
Everyday Example
You think getting ready in the morning takes 20 minutes, but it actually takes 35. Then:
\( E = 35 – 20 = 15 \) minutes late.
